The Fulani or Peul are a traditionally nomadic people of traders and cattle herders who live throughout W. Africa. Many have now settled to a life of farming although some still continue to follow their most prized possessions (cattle) seasonally in search of pasture. The Fulani are very proud of their appearance and place great emphasis on their adornments.

Thank you for looking at my auctions. I have travelled in Africa and Yemen for more than 25 years buying silver adornments, old and ancient beads, and ethnographic items. Over the years I have built up a solid rapport with traders and clients. I travel 2-3 times per year to meet with traders who collect and save the items that you see here. My auctions at pangea40 only deal with original art that have been worn or used by the tribal groups mentioned in my description.
