    Description

    This is a rare Sovtek Red Army Overdrive, by Mike Matthews. These are the first of the Russian made fuzz pedals, before Mike Matthews got the Electro Harmonix and Big Muff names back. I believe I purchased this in 1991, and was told at the time it was one of the first in the country. While these are essentially a Big Muff, there are some slight circuit variations that make these unique and great sounding. Not many were made, and they are highly collectible. Unit has lots of cosmetic wear and tear, but functions perfectly. The jacks and footswitch are known to be fragile on these pedals, although Analogman offers a service converting them to reliable switchcraft parts for live reliability (if taking something this rare to gigs is your thing!).
