Well, hope I won’t be banned for this on eBay too... at least gimme some P-Melter hype then! :D Selling it here since Reverb doesn't like me anymore...
My filthy/gorgeous take on a Cream Puff by Frantone Electronics. Nice thick, slightly scooped and spongy fuzzstortion for those who are bored of their regular Big Muffs!
Smashing Pumpkins fans and other Op-Amp Muff lovers would find it particularly interesting!
How do I describe the sound? It’s more articulate, big, wallish and textured than other BMPs... a bit sharp, kinda like if it was built by Mesa Boogie...
But don’t get me wrong, it’s still a high gain fuzz, just not so doomy!
Made solely for demonstration purposes of limitless design possibilities at Futile Art FX workshop!
Controls are:
Cream (Fluff) -
is a combination tone and fuzz control. Rolling it back darkens the tone, very slightly subdues the midrange compression, and lowers the gain. Cranking it up opens up the compression-like qualities, brightens up the midrange, adds girth, gain, and a very subtle hint of high end spittiness that is reminiscent of germanium fuzzes.
Level
- sets the output Volume of the effect, should be self explanatory...
Tone
- is interactive with the Cream (Fluff) control, and helps pull back some of the high end filtering to reveal those nastier and more aggressive high-end dynamics.
