There is a very relevant discussion re: "scalping" when it comes to special run/limited edition pedals.
My stance: I like the pedal, and am not in a hurry to "flip" for fast cash, and profit from hype. I also know I will not be using this in my live rig, so I can't truly justify letting it sit around if someone else really wants it.
This is someone's "must have", whereas it's my "nice to have".
(-So why even list it? Because if this pedal is of this value to another, I have bills to pay, and I need to be open to that.)
Therefore, I am offering it at a price where I am comfortable letting it go, given that I like it and am still jamming on it on my desk (= no feet!). If it's worth this price to you, then we can agree; otherwise, I'm fine keeping it! I'm not going to just let it go without consideration.

It's based on Macari's/Sola Sound Tone Bender Mk2, specifically unit #500 that was produced in London in the 60's. This is as classic as it gets in a Boss pedal format!
